During a broadcasting career which began in 1964, I've worked in just about every facet of radio and television. Most of my career has been on air in one way or another. Announcer/DJ, program director, music director, sports and news, as well as off air as sales account executive and general sales manager for radio.
After many years of doing television commercials and voice-overs, as well as producing and/or hosting telethons for Easter Seals, Arthritis Foundation, March of Dimes and PBS, I finally moved into television as a broadcast meteorologist and reporter in 1994. Since September 2004, I have been chief meteorologist that central Illinois television station.
My small business, Davis Media Group/Davis Wedding Video, specializes in weddings, web-mercials, video podcasts, and video news releases, as well as commercial and news-ready video. We produce consumer works to DVD and provide professional services in the DVCAM format, as well as BetaCam.
I continue to do free-lance audio and video productions for various clients around the country. From station ID's ("You're listening to the Atlantic Beacon, South Caicos Island,") sweepers, promos and intros, The Audio Newsletter, Hometown Radio U.S.A. and even computer-billboard on the phone, you may have heard my voice (especially if you've spent much time on "hold." ("Your call is very important to us...please continue to hold...all calls are taken in the order received.")
As a legal videographer, I have shot and edited depositions to court order, then played the finished product back in court before judge and jury.
